Railroad Museum Tours

Enjoy this rich collection of historic artifacts and stories from Galesburg’s railroad heritage, including the legendary CB&Q.


10am-4pm | Galesburg Railroad Museum | Ages 8-15, $3; Ages 16+, $6

BNSF Rail Yard Tours

This Railroad Days favorite returns! Get your train fix with this narrated bus tour of one of the largest railyards on the BNSF system.



12, 1, 2, & 3pm | Galesburg Railroad Museum | $5

VIP BNSF Rail Yard Tours

This VIP tour offers an exclusive look at operations of the BNSF Galesburg Yard, one of the nation’s largest freight classification yards. Pre-purchase of tickets and properly worn face masks are required.

4pm, tickets on sale at 2pm | Galesburg Railroad Museum | $30

Explore the ties between Lincoln and the Transcontinental Railroad. Watch An American Dream: Lincoln, the Railroad, and the Transformation of America and "Lincoln on Re-Election: The Last, Best Hope on Earth."

Western Illinois Auto Antique Car Cruise-In

Admire classic cars from all over the region.

3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

A round-robin basketball tournament--all participants must be 15 and up. Entry fee is $100 per team, and the top three teams receive a trophy or medal. To sign up, call Jassen at 309-371-4411.

Children's Crafts

Paint a popsicle-stick magnet and add your picture to turn yourself into a miniature train conductor on a Railroad Days keepsake magnet.

Car Seat Inspection Event

Local certified car seat technicians will check your car seat for correct installation at this FREE event. Please bring your vehicle manual and car seat installment instructions if you have them available.
